Choir - rehearsals are Thursdays  7- 8:45 p.m.

New Choristers welcome!

The choir is comprised of singers of all ages. There are no auditions to join as all choristers are welcome. The repertoire covers styles of music sung through the centuries to the present, including anthems, plainsong, Anglican chant, song-style, Taizé and Iona music.

 

The choir rehearses on Thursday evenings 7.00-8.45 pm and Sunday mornings before the 10.30 Liturgy. Several times a year, the Evensong Choir, comprised of the parish choir and friends, sings Choral Evensong according to The Book of Common Prayer tradition.

 

The choir is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music Canada, Niagara-Huron Chapter. RSCM Canada offers the Voice for Life training program and the Singing Awards are achieved by formal examination.

 

The RSCM was founded in 1927 under the direction of Sir Sydney Nicholson, organist at Westminster Abbey. The purpose of the RSCM is to improve the singing in churches and to provide training for those who lead music in worship. More information is available at:
